[ROM][JB 4.2.1][OFFICIAL] AOKP MR1 Build 1

http://aokp.co/release-jb-mr1-build-1/

Quote:
Happy New Year Kanglings! Here is a surprise for you. We’ve been pretty busy since November, let’s see the details.

We had to start over again because of 4.2. It was a tough decision but in the end we managed to forward-port most of our features and here we are with our first 4.2.1 based build.

Following Google’s original branch name our releases will have a version string of “JB-MR1”, eg. aokp_device_jb-mr1_build-x.

In this initial release we focused only on features – hence the short device list -, porting comes next.

Devices

maguro – Galaxy Nexus (GSM)
toro – Galaxy Nexus (Verizon)
grouper – Nexus 7 (WiFi)
mako – Nexus 4

Features

General UI
Custom boot animation
Custom carrier label
Notification background
Statusbar brightness slider
Recents RAM Bar & Kill All button
Power menu options
Lockscreen
Customizable text color
Volume wake & music controls
Allow any kind & unlimited number of widgets (new)
Navigation Bar
Fully customizable NavBar (buttons, color, transparency, widgets, etc.)
Menu arrow keys while typing (new)
Customizable NavBar Ring
Statusbar
Battery indicator styles
Clock styles
Signal styles
Statusbar transparency (new)
Customizable Statusbar Toggles (new, based on Google’s tiles)
LED Control
Custom Vibrations
Sound Settings
Less frequent notification sounds
Headphone action
BT connect action
Flip action
Quiet Hours (CM)
Disable safe headset volume warning (new)
Themes support (multi-user support still buggy, use at your own risk)
NFC Polling modes

We’ve also added lots of bug fixes since Google’s official release, and of course ported our previous optimizations/tweaks as well.

Galaxy Nexus builds ship with LeanKernel 5.4.0, Nexus 4 & 7 come with the stock kernel from Google.

You need to WIPE! In all cases for this build. Period. You also need to update your recovery (TWRP recommended) to the latest version before flashing if you don’t have a 4.2+ based ROM on your device yet!

Don’t forget to flash the Google Apps package after the ROM: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip

The team will get back to the usual (bi)weekly release schedule once more devices have been added.

Expect support for Galaxy S2-S3-Note variants in the next build.

We’re looking forward to your feedback.

Enjoy!

JB Milestone 1
Submitted sethyx, Today, 12:21 AM | Last updated Today, 12:30 AM

With the news of Android 4.2 on the horizon, we at Team Kang felt you, the end-user, deserved to see a Milestone build. With a massive surge of effort and contributions, we have one for you now, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The wait for 4.2 begins now. We won't release any new builds until it gets pushed to AOSP and merged into our source. Don't worry though; we are already working on some awesome new features, you may have seen some teasers on Twitter/G+ already!

This time we definitely focused on fixes, we managed to close each bug report received on Rootz and Twitter in the last few weeks.

But AOKP isn't AOKP without new features, right?

Adjustable NavBar width for Tablets
Allow "Vibrate on Touch" behavior for Slide unlock
Toggles can be hidden like in ICS - long press on the Settings button!
Clickable (short & long configurable) Clock and Calendar in the Notification Slider

Further notes:

Evita (AT&T HTC One X / XL) is back!
Tunas (Galaxy Nexus phones) ship with a different kernel (LeanKernel 4.5.0), you might need to reset your Color/CPU settings in ROMControl. Do it if you encounter any weird colors (usually green) on your screen.
Grouper (Nexus 7) includes the stock kernel from Google

Happy flashing!

It’s been a long time.
We successfully merged 4.1.2 from AOSP, and cleaned up lots of small bugs.
The unicorns were working hard to bring back your most beloved features from the ICS times, and as you can see below, they pretty much did it.
As usual, you can find all of the changes / fixes / additions on our gerrit or github, if you are interested.

Some new devices:

d2att (AT&T Galaxy S3)
quincyatt (AT&T Galaxy Note)

Sadly we had to skip evita (AT&T HTC One X or HTC One XL) from this build.

New features:

Custom NavBar for Tablets
NavBar widgets are back from ICS
Highly customizable Lockscreen Ring targets, with a shiny new editor in ROMControl! (also thanks to CM for the base of the framework part)
Alternate default app picker (like in GB)
Menu UI Overflow Toggle
Option to disable vibration for Notification expansion
RAM Bar in the Recents panel
Timeout and instant lock options for Slide lock
VPN Traffic amount in human readable format

We are working with the guys at CyanogenMod to submit our features & enhancements back upstream to their source.

Warning: If you are a flashoholic and not coming straight from Build 4 (you built it from source, or tried some unofficial/nightly builds), you might have to reset your Lockscreen targets, as we changed some critical code in the last few days.

Adam made an awesome app for AOKP - Kangerator - you can track / download our new releases or even the Gapps packages with it. Don’t forget to check it out!
Gapps has been updated as well, please flash the newest one with this release.

Builds are uploading, they will appear automatically when finished.

Enjoy!

Something is changing. We managed to agree on a fixed release schedule in the team:
We will decide on each Thursday whether a new build will be released that week or not.
We introduced an internal testing cycle as well, hopefully the upcoming releases will be more bugless than before.
Sunday will be your favourite day of the week in the future.

Build 3 is mainly an extension of our supported devices.

We added back:

toroplus (Samsung Galaxy Nexus / Sprint)
crespo4g (Samsung Nexus S / Sprint)

Our brand new babies are:

i9100 (International Galaxy S2 (Exynos))
i9100g (International Galaxy S2 (OMAP))
i9300 (International Galaxy S3)

Huge thanks to our new device maintainers, Bajee11, PieR, and PhantomGamers!

We’re dropping support for wingray & stingray, due to the lack of maintainers.

New features:

SMS QuickReply (Adam's own implementation!)
Expert Calculator functions (Graph, Matrices, etc.)
IME Switcher & Vib/Ring toggle as NavRing target
Stopwatch & Countdown in the Clock app (CyanogenMOD)

We fixed some serious bugs (you can set custom ringtones now), and made a few other fixes & improvements as usual.

Both mirrors should be working for all devices.

This is the first build that I’m releasing, I hope everything goes well.
Enjoy!

Hey guys and gals. Thought I would share this, and I hope I'm not breaking some rule. To be clear, I'm NOT a part of the AOKP team, just a flashaholic that noticed a lack of AOKP presence here at XDA. The following is fromhttp://aokp.co/index.php/releases/_/...an-build-1-r28:

JellyBean Build 1
Submitted roman, Yesterday, 07:29 PM | Last updated Yesterday, 07:29 PM

We feel it's time to release our first official Jelly Bean build!

If you'll notice, the number of devices we are releasing this for is extremely limited. These are just the devices most of us daily driver, so they have gotten our attention first . Over time, more will get added as things slow down and as we get some device maintainers.

Unfortunately, any change log here would be useless. This is JellyBean build 1! Go explore. Please do not post any bug reports yet. We will let everyone know when we're ready to accept taking reports again. If you really like, you can always look at recently merged code in our Gerrit instance.

For those asking for some sort of a change log, below is a list of some features found in jelly bean release 1. There can be no change log as we have nothing changed yet

Features you will see (but not limited to) in this build:
Notification Toggles
Lockscreen tweaks (no custom targets yet)
Navigation bar modifications
Custom kernel performance options
LED colors
Notification wallpapers
Phone ringer modifications (Flip call to silent, silent/vibrate when headphones are in)
Plus more!

PS: We add new features each day on our Gerrit instance if you are wondering when something will be added, or if anyone has submitted it, that is the place to go.

Instructions
Download build for your device, place on SD card
Download gapps, place on SD card
Reboot into recovery
Wipe/factory reset! If you think you can get away without wiping from ICS -> JellyBean, you won't be happy camper. Wipe!
Flash jb-build-1
Flash Gapps
Reboot
